BC Hydro is one of Alpen's important customers

Alpen Helicopters flies BC Hydro staff and equipment to remote areas for the purpose of trimming trees that are encroaching on the hydro lines. Landing Pads are maintained regularly by hydro to provide easy access to these areas.

Tower Top Landings

Tower top landings have made inaccessible hydro towers safer to inspect. The crew is lifted to the top of the tower.

This procedure is easier and safer than climbing the tower.
