It's amazing what a helicopter is capable of. If you think that it may help you speed up a project or move something efficiently, you're probably right!
- Our Bell 206B3 JetRanger has a maximum cruise speed of roughly 115 knts (213km/hr).
If you need to get somewhere fast, and don't want to waste time either in traffic or on poorly
maintained logging roads, our helicopters may be a good choice.
- Our 206L3 Longranger is capable of lifting approximately 1500lbs as a longline sling load.
Our pilots can place a load with pinpoint accuracy. An example of a lifting job would be the
construction of a mountain hut. Something that would take weeks of hard labour to carry in
supplies for, only takes a day or two with our Longranger. A helicopter is equally useful on
some construction sites, for example, we were hired to lift the new windows up to the roofs
of the Britannia Mine.
- All of our helicopters are equipped with removable litter kits, which are used for medevac
purposes. Our LongRanger also has an HSRS sling rescue system to help reach stranded
hikers or injured workers in inaccessible locations.
- All of our helicopters are capable of carrying a Tyler Camera Mount system in the back seat.
The LongRanger can also carry a nose mounted camera. We have hours of experience flying for
movies, music videos, and advertisements including an ad for BC Ferries.
- Have you ever wished you could get the perfect photograph of a specific area, or a property
that you want to survey. What if you could fly - and hover - over top of it and take as many pictures
as you need. We have a sliding window in our JetRanger just for that purpose.
These are just some examples of what we can do. We have open minds though, and just because it hasn't been done, doesn't mean it can't. Call us to discuss your ideas.

Alpen Helicopters was hired to work on the movie "Christy". Our LongRanger was equipped with a Tyler Mount system to film with, as well, a Fleet Finch airplane was slung on the longline to give it the effect of flying, yet still allow for easy filming.
Apparently, the reindeer were having some troubles, so Santa Claus needed an alternative way to get to the North view Golf Club for Christmas.
Done for the day!
